MEDIA, SHOPPING and GANDHI

Only yesterday i was discussing with my teammates abt MEDIA's Social Responsibilities and I took media's side saying that "If you own a TV Channel, you would exactly the same they are doing".
Which pops up a question "Does a business have to be responsible?" The debate can go on and on , landing up at the inception all over again.
My take is Everybody has to be responsible irrespective of what you do.Having said that if so is the case its a HAPPY world, which is too much to ask.
So it urgeas us to lower the standards and comes to a scene where in we demand RESPONSIBILITY from BUSINESSES with an IMPACT.Unquestionably MEDIA is one among them.

I was not moved when my colleagues was taking on MEDIA on Ayodhya Issue, bcos Indian Youth has matured alot and have their own opinion and feelings about religion. Its hard to provoke youth these days considering the fact that every one is busy with their own life and they haven't got enough time in communal riots. They dont get easily carried away by bloody politician's sayings like it used to be in 90's.

I'm a whole lot disappointed today than yesterday.Reason, being GANDHI JAYANTHI i only got to see GANDHI in the third page of TOI. What happened to the notions and principals of GANDHI "FATHER OF THE NATION". Our ver own media which blasts CORRUPTED POLITICIANS, IRRESPONSIBLE CITIZENS for not taking the footsteps of GANDHI has gone out of control.

No,Seriously. Its a pity that our FATHER OF NATION could not find 4X4 space in TOI front page, where in Australian's captain Pointing's altercation with Zaheer is a hi-light. All i could see today in NEWS is DISCOUNT DHAMAKAS and LUCKY DIP SCHEMES by the Future Group.I remotely remember readin any NEWS. It was discounts and sales every where. How is it say easy for the marketing guys of the big cos to fool around people. The catch is they are just not fooling the AAM ADMI. Its the educated population of INDIA they are fooling. Why is that everybody is loosing their COMMON SENSE?

Looks like "Mr. Kishore Biyani"(titled:The Retail King of India) is the man who seems to have been using his grey matter to work. How is it that he is making so much of profits even after a new DHAMAKA DISCOUNT SALE every week?(not BIG BAZAAR alone but across all his brands).

Will we ever get redeemed of these RETAIL MANIACS?

Finally I have decided to piss on The Times Of India for showing no respect at all to the great man on his b.day.
